Metaverse submission does not work, 1.2 bug?

I have finished a game a tried to submit: first i hear my harddisk working (it's pretty loud, i can tell you) but nothing seems to happen, no transmission protokol or anything like this. then i click another time "submit" and the game returns to the main screen, from which you start a new game.I have transmitted a game succesfully a few month ago and i was using same alias & email-adress this time. Is this a new bug?

no fire wall was activated an i was playing 1.2.

You can get the latest SDC, V1.3 by going to the downloads page. Button is in the upper left of your screen. Or here's the http://www.galciv.com/download.asp ;)

Hummm... Interesting. The download link on the page says stardockcentral130.exe. Did SDC update when you ran it? If not try 'check for application updates' in the tools menu. The latest version is 1.30.255 build 42

What about the screwed up scoring? I have brought this up on several threads! No response! When will this be addressed? >:(
What must be done to get a correct tally on your final score? I am getting final scores that have nothing to do with the game just played: the 1 ver1.2 game I have submitted showed a Beyond Human victory but only showed that I had researched one tech! (:(
I realize things are busy with Alterian Prophecy coming up, but it would be nice to be able to play the game I already have! :(

You should be able to submit whatever version of SDC you have.  The reason that I have suggested re-installing SDC for people who have problems submitting is because if it's something wrong with the dlls that submit the data, SDC re-installs them when it's re-installed. 

Philip only has one score showing up in the database, but not in his profile.  To get it to show up in his profile, he needs to register his alias Phlipy from the metaverse page. Since the second score isn't there at all, it's probably a connection issue. 

You have to be connected to the internet when you submit.  If you have any ad blockers or firewalls enabled, disable them before trying to submit.

My scores stopped being submitted when I re-installed Gal Civ. what do I do?

If you don't have any ad blockers or firewalls running and you still can't submit, you can send me the endgamesave file for a game that you can't submit.  If it's actually sending the data, but it has a duplicate GameID, it wouldn't be accepted by the database. But it's unlikely that it would happen every time you tried to submit a new game.

I'm posting this all over because I simply am not getting an answer when waiting patiently. (:(
What about the in-game scoring problem (NOT Metaverse scoring) relating to techs? Any time you save and reload, all previous techs you have researched are lost in your score. Only techs researched after you load the saved game count to your researched techs score. :SURPRISED:
Will 1.21 address this?

SLW, I noticed that too, but I didn't think the Researched mattered as much as the Discovered. That number stays the same. I haven't noticed if the Tech score goes down after a reload.

I am also having the "can't submit a score" problem and I read a few people saying to disconnect your firewall first. I don't have a firewall up, but I am using Mozilla Firefox which I believe has it's own built in security. Does anyone know if the browser you use could be the problem?

Merasmus, did you register your player? YOu have to have that setup before you can submit. And about the browser, I don't think that would affect your submissions, as long as it isn't running in the background.

I thought it was the other way around. I was under the impression Researched was where the points are and Discovered, while yielding points, reflect more of the Traded and Stolen techs plus your own Researched.

Anyone wanna' weigh in? :D

Littlewotts, I am registered, just last week. I've been unable to submit twice now, both played from start to end with ver1.2 and I am connected constantly just to be on the safe side. As far as I know, my browser isn't doing anything.

Ok. For a while I had to shut down galciv after I won, then restart it and then resubmit. I read somewhere that galciv looks for a net connection when it loads. I really don't know what to look for in the debug.err file, but I've been told to look at it before. If the problems persists I would reccomend emailing CariElf about it. She helped me when I was having errors.

Discovered my score upload problem.

My Metaverse account is tied to my Gal Civ SN. My laptop was registered to SDC using my Drengin SN. Hence, the immediate change to main menu. Once I made the change, small wait and score appeared.
