I was lost... Now i'm found.

Back in the early 90's I stumbled upon a game called; Master of Orion. Having never played a space strategy game before - I decided to give it a whirl...
Within minutes I was hooked. Never before had I been so engrossed in a computer game - so much so I had my very first dusk-till-dawn session playing throughout the night - hours flying by like minutes...

Then in 1995 came Ascendancy - a game I still love and play to this day (brilliant music!)
A year later MoO2 was released - and lived up to it's predecessors' expectations... an excellent sequel.
The addiction was firmly back.

After that, space strategy games seemed to dry up and my interest turned to online FPS gaming...

A few years later - Imagine my excitement when I hear about MoO3!!
Another few years later (when it is finally released - I have booked days off work especially etc etc) - Imagine my disappointment when I actually play the pile of dishwater that is MoO3

After being so hyped-up before it's release, the let-down was awful and so back to fps gaming I went... and have stayed there pretty-much ever since...

...until that is I found this website

Wow. Galactic Civ 2 looks like the game destine to fill the massive void in the world of turn-based space strat that I've been so longing for!
For the first time in many, many years I have "that" feeling again. I just hope I can bear the wait!

Anyway, I'm sure I've bored most of you to tears with that little monolog - so a quick question…

- Should I get GalCivI and play that until GalCivII is released, or would the "experience" be better if I waited and just got GalCivII when it's released.

Thanks
Adam.

cally - that concepts seems not very popular at the moment.

Maybe Galciv 3 will have it.

Welcome to our little hidden corner of the gaming universe. We are few, but we are mighty!

I concur, get GalCiv - via Totalgaming.net if you can. I can't say enough good things about Stardock, from a customer point of view.

R> Their attitude has been more the one of the friends rather than that of the miles-away publisher.
