Ms. Stronach has, appearently, been living in some sort of Etobicoke cacoon where Canadians like Ralph Klein. Alberta? Your holding up Alberta as the example of good government? There are plenty of great things about Aberta. I visited several times as child. I have family there. The Stampede's great. I saw the Canada-Russia exhibition game at the Saddle Dome at the 1988 Canada Cup. Fantastic. But there's a reason Easterners (2/3 of the population) call Alberta "Texas of the North". And it's not flattering one, either. Speaking of Texas, I also liked this:
If Stroanch even understands this issue, I'll bake her a cake. To create a "'common security perimeter" would require U.S. approval of Canadian immigration, refugee, travel, drug and internal security policy. We'd have to agree to bar people from entering the country, stop people from flying and "detain" Canadians based on criteria set by the United States. I call it "PatriotAct.ca". |
