It's starting to work!

Finally!

I have been working out 6 days a week and eating more healthily since the end of December. I was starting to get incredibly frustrated during my weekly weigh ins because my weight was either stable or I had gained a pound or two. Then it hit me. I was in H&M yesterday trying on pants and I got a glimpse of my legs and butt in the mirror and I was truly impressed. They looked TONED! We're not talking a little bit, we're talking toned like back in the day where I used to run cross country in high school. Oh, and remember the article from a long time ago where I mentioned the dimple of cellulite? Well, that is gone too! I am also almost a size 8 without all the squeezing bullshit!

I have decided to say Fuck the scale. As long as I am feeling good and looking good, then that's okay for me. Exercising has been life changing. I feel better and I have more energy (I think quitting smoking has a lot to do with this too).

Now it's time to work on that wasteline as well as the legs and butt....

By the way, if anyone else is working out, I suggest browsing strongbear.joeuser.com. I am taking her advice with eating more protien, vitamins, and drinking a lot more water. I will give an update in a couple of weeks to see if these changes add to the benefits.

(I put this under adult content because it says fuck)

(oops i said it again)

It's not uncommon that working out leads to a slight weight gain instead of a loss ... I think the reason for that is that the muscles you build up weigh more than the fat you burn away. It's not an area i have any expertise in however, so you may want to double-check this information.

Glad to see that you like your looks, that's much more important than hunting down pounds. When other people decide whether they find you attractive or not, they also do this by *looking*. They don't grab you, put you on a scale, and derive their impression based on the result.

You are absolutley right, muscle does weigh more than fat. I think that as long as I stick to eating right and working out the number might catch up. And if it doesn't, oh well.

It's all about keeping a level head. I guess that's why they call you moderateman--maybe because you're head is on straight (although I know we have different political views )
