THE UNITED STATES SPENDS TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS ON MILITARY EXPENDITURES EVERY YEAR. WE ALSO SPEND TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS ON SOCIAL PROGRAMS EVERY YEAR. HERE IS MY QUESTION. WE SHOULD SPEND MORE ON GUNS BECAUSE GUNS MAKE US STRONG, SAFE, AND DOMINANT.
WE SHOULD SPEND WAY LESS ON BUTTER BECAUSE BUTTER ONLY MAKES US FAT, WEAK, DECADENT, AND SOFT.

I think spending in both arenas needs to be considered. There are times when the Democratic representatives just seem to create more and more entitlement programs that depend on more and more money. There are also times when the Republican Representatives do the same thing when it comes to the milatary issue, and I still don't know why so much money goes to Nasa. There are private companies that can do as mush and with less money. Bottom Line, If more Americans had the guts, it would be time for another revolution. Not one of us in our life time will ever be able to fully hold any politican accountable. And that is the bottom line, isn't it. ACCOUNTABILITY

Marvin, the United States doesn't spend trillions on military spending.

15% of the budget is for military. 60% on social programs. The budget is about 2 trillion. You do the math.

I would rather fend off a robber with a gun than a stick of butter. On the other hand.. butter is essential for flaky pasteries. But - we should be eating less saturated fats. Wow. This is really a complex issue.
