Signs You're too Much a Baseball Addict

  • When you talk about "Going to second base" with a girl, you mean you went to the stadium and ran halfway 'round the infield
  • When you remember more than 5 starters for any pre-1995 Seattle Mariners team (or pre-1990 Astros team).
  • When you've gone to any city just to see the stadium.
  • When you place a radar gun over the baby's crib.
  • When you can calculate a pitcher's season ERA to the thousandths place at any start after the All Star Break
  • When you name your child Willie, Mickey, or Duke (Or Tinker, Evers, or Chance for Cubs fans)
  • When you respond that you're not sure, but think Holden Caulfield just might have been the backstop for the '61 Mets
  • When you argue for the elimination of the maximum age for major league batboys

Ahh, baseball...what bliss! Welcome to spring training, folks.

Only the third one is true for me, but I still consider myself a huge fan, if not addict, of baseball. Can't wait for the season to start. I've already brought up the subject of buying the "Season Ticket" package from our sat cable company again this year. And, I want to hit Oakland and LA again this year to watch games in person. I also want to see a SF game this year, too. I really couldn't give a carp about the team in general, but I'm a long time fan of Vizquel, and since he's close by, I'd like to see him play at least once this season.

but I'm a long time fan of Vizquel,

A man after my own heart. I have long contended that Vizquel, NOT ARod was the M's greatest all time shortstop. Incidentally, I had the pleasure of seeing him play many times before the major media discovered him...and he was integral to building the M's to respectability.

I thought one of them would be: You think the Mariners (or Mets in my case) have a chance at winning the Series.

lol dr. guy.

Although the M's DO stand to be much improved (of course, who COULDN'T improve after last year's debacle?)

The Mets.

I am so excited that the season is right around the corner!

I live in NY, but I am originally from Ohio, so I have to root for the Tribe! I could see myself liking the Mets, but Cleveland will always hold that special place in my heart. Screw the Yankees!

I have never lived in NY and only been there 2 times, but the Mets are my team.  However, I think the owners suck!  I think the tribe has a better chance.

But I will be rooting for them anyways!  Might catch a late season game in California.  it all depends on the Nephews Wedding date.
