No exact date has been given yet except "The beta will start in March", which you most probably know already.

I just want to point out how EXCITED I was when I read the thread title followed shortly by crushing disappointment one click and 2.6 seconds later.

It seemed clear to me, I guess because my default page is the journals, and that didn't say anything. Didn't a journal say there were two weeks left until the beta?

Word on the street is that the Zoo near SDs offices had a break and some monkeys found their way to Brad's office where they proceeded to trash the server they had the GalCiv 2 code stored on... the only complete copy of the code. So now, they're scrambling for a replacement. I've heard rumor that they're just going to use DesktopX and re-skin Master of Orion 3

Yes, I'm kidding... yes, I'm bored... no, I don't know when the actual date will be aside from "soon"
