Bush admin must spend more on mental health

My turn to rant some.

We have a mental health crisis in this country.

It's obvious. It's as plain as the nose on a farm girl's face.

What, you can't see it? You don't think it exists.

Well, I have proof for you.

Consider, some examples:

  • Michael Moore
  • George Soros
  • Robert Byrd
  • Barbara Streisand
  • John Kerry
  • Al Gore
  • Al Franken
  • and finally, this one linked: our own Clueless Old Liberal COL Gene, whose latest rant: Bush understates budget deficit just provides even more proof that we have a problem.

Obviously Pres. George W. Bush is responsible for this problem. He must not be budgetting enough to cover mental illness in this country, as we have too many people running around with diseases of pessism, negativism, and worst of all liberalism.

We have loons that want higher taxes (John Kerry, Al Gore, Tom Daschle, COL Gene), and want to let the corrupt Social Security system continue to run in it's same pyramidic and Robin Hood fashion as it has for it's entire existence. Never mind that it's a racist system which virtually ensures that many minority males never collect a dime because of their shorter life expectancies. Never mind that what was paid in is no guarantee of what will be paid out. People may suck out many times what they paid in (if they live long enough), or may get only a fraction of what they paid in back (because they don't live long enough) or even get nothing at all (if they don't live until retirement age).

Rather than fix that system, we have these mentally diseased individuals -- infected with that accursed liberalism -- that want to just patchwork the old system a bit longer, raise some more taxes on the participants, or worse yet, raise the retirement age to move the carrot just a little further out there so that the Jackasses (citizens) can't reach it.

Unfortunately, there are many that are no longer asses. They left the party of the Donkey, or at least woke up enough to not vote strictly party line. They have decided that life with the Elephants may not be that bad. Those are people who have had their mental deficiencies cured, or at least are working towards the cure.

Eventually many people may find that cure, but in the meantime, what to do about those that can't seem to be helped currently? The answer obviously is to spend more on mental health in this country. We must correct these problems, and obviously it's George W. Bush's fault that not enough is being done in this area. We must all beg and plead with George W. Bush to raise our taxes to the highest possible rates so that we can pour every penny we can into this problem. Never mind that doing so would bankrupt us all and just create yet another huge entitlement / government obligation that would start growing to suck up all of the available revenue.

Why worry about the blob that could eat the budget and why worry about controlling spending. Just because some of us have mental clarity, and sense enough to see that spending in the federal budget is out of control and must be reigned in, is not reason to keep from solving this problem. And that Social Security Crisis that many of us can see and recognize, it's not a problem, even if it's obvious to us.

Lets do the right thing, put more money into spending on mental health care issues.

Or, maybe, just maybe, the answer is spend just enough to put some of these folks into assisted living homes where computer access isn't permitted, so that others of us can stop finding the net filled with rants of raving lunatics.

Please note that this article was written to be sarcastic. I know and understand that mental illness is a serious problem in this country. Perhaps at epidemic proportions. Or perhaps at normal historic levels, but with too many people too ready to medicate and diagnose normal behavior as "mental illness".
In anycase, it's a serious issue, and I do not mean to offend those that have friends or family with these problems. I personally have relatives affected, and have had friends of my family affected. I wish nothing but the best for these people, as I do virtually all of humanity.
On the other hand, many may recognize the humor and irony in my comments written above. I hope those people enjoy my thoughts and welcome any of their own.

I take it you're a part of the sheeples in America? Man Ann Coulter sure needs time on the couch, and not with her legs spread for some Republican penis'. According to her, Canada sent troops to Vietnam. And when the Canadian reporter told her uh no we didn't she actually said 'you're wrong'! Yes more needs to be spent on mental health in America. Thanks.

This would never make it through the house though, as the Democrats would take it as an attack on Democrats everywhere. Besides, they'd much rather do things with good intentions and no focus, because after all, "the means justifies the ends."

I wish I was that Republican!

Excellent Rant!!! I'd give it a solid 8, but your all too serious "disclaimer" drags it down to a 6.

The problem with the whole fixing Mental Health epidemic is that those who would be entrust with the windfall of government grants are the very people most severely stricken. I am talking about those lab rats who we laughingly call "acedemic researchers". Talk about letting the inmates run the asylum!! Not only would we be allowing the loonies to run the asylum, we would be sponsoring them to perpetuate their own phsychoses!

Soon you would have "support groups" and "activists" begging us all to accept these degenerates as "normal"; that would lead to "forced acceptance" and what next... laws allowing them to marry, and have HAVE CHILDREN!!!!!!!

You can see the slippery slope we're headed for if we fund this mental illness with more tax dollars! ;~D

Nope, the "sheeples" are on the left. And Katie Couric is right there with them.
