icons/redrawing/memory problem?

I don't know if this is a WindowBlinds problem.
But my desktop icons often redraw, and then some of the drop shadows are suddenly darker then others. Most often caused by opening an explore window, but launching an program like FlashMX (40,000K at load) is sure to provoke the error.
any brilliant minds?
