Why does my wallpaper not show when I start desktopX?? All I get is the color that is selected.

Hello,

I think the themes are great.. But everytime I load a theme I cant see the wallpaper.. All I get is the solid color.. Then when I turn off DesktopX, I can see the wallpaper..What I'm I missing.. Please help.. I made sure that the box regarding show wallpaper is checked and the one that said show color is unchecked??? Im running winxp pro..

Have you locked your desktop?

Display Properties->Customize Desktop->Web->Lock Desktop Items

Dunno if it'll help you with DX, but it sorted some stuff for me with Natural Desktop.

I have the same problem. Itried locking the desktop, but that put the color bar back under my icons. I like to just see the description without the colorstrip behind it.

I didn't phrase it well, but in my case locking the desktop was the problem.

I should've said to make sure it wasn't locked. Anyway, doesn't look like it's related to the problem anyway so....

Hey guys

I fixed the problem.. When you download a theme, you need to put the wall file in the c:/windows dir.. Then you can chose it from the display panel and it will work.. It worked for me.. The wall file should be in the themes folder just copy it into the c:/windows folder.. That should do the trick..
