Mod, while I often disagree with your opinions, I respect them and do not attack you personally. However, in this case you're actually becoming this site's Right-wing equivalent of Dabe with this recent flame war.

You're not giving her a taste of her own medicine, you're lowering yourself to her level and making her feel justified in what she writes. It's like one little kid punching another because the other punched first. You end up with two kids with bloody noses and both are equally to blame for the situation.

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

Just blacklist and ignore dabe, otherwise you're becoming no better than her

I think maybe it's the fact you are so adamant in your posts. It's kinda polarizing at times. I wouldn't expect you to compromise your beliefs and writing just to make friends, but sometimes you have to substitute the sulfa for the sugar...Ya know?

I usually refrain rom personal attacks myself (except for the one I just made on rombios over on another thread, but he had it coming). I have, however noted the lefty practice of frequently throwing feces aimed directly at certain persons on the right (myself inclued, at times), while crying foul when it's done to them. Shame-shame-shame-on you.

And to Xanadu: That's okay; it's all good; just as long as you're not one of those knee-jerk America haters.
I will say this, though: you were a stupid movie....though Olivia Newton-John was hot.

YOU never add anything to my posts but whining and complaining.. and I can see WHERE aliberal would equate an attack on their party and personal attacks as being the same thing.. typical left wing justification of another sick hate filled persons dreams of a time gone by, as just deserts.

I for one love liberals....especially the knee-jerk (sorry to use the same term in two posts here), deep-seated kind that can never see any other perspective but their own, which is often extremely myopic in itself. It's fun to debate them and to see them blown out of the water time and again without realizing it themselves.
So let them keep coming, like the masses of zombies from a George Romero movie (that's really all they are, when you get right down to it; left-wing rhetoric-spewing zombies running on autopilot), and we'll keep right on shooting them in the head.

You know, I've followed many debates on JU; watched them rage back and forth, back and forth, posted on some, just watched others.
In so very many of these threads, the Lefties, after having their ideas and perspectives crashed time and again on the rocks of Rightie practicality, just stop posting. No word, no goodbye, no flipping of the bird, nothing. Just...gone.
Then, they pop up on some other thread and start the same crap over again, have their ideas crushed again, stop posting after a while there, too, and move on. It's a cycle.

I give them credit, though...to be so very firm in your beliefs (or so very delusional) that nothing, not even logic, can penetrate that belief (or fog of fantasy) is really something to admire.

One of the few Lefties here that I do admire, though, is Myrrander.
Yeah, he suffers from severe tunnelvision just like all the rest, AND he's a big-mouthed, self-righteous a-hole, but at least he defends himself well and often.
He doesn't just make his point and vacate the premises like so many others; he stands and fights for what he believes. That's cool. He's intelligent, well-spoken (for the most part) sly and cunning, too. He'd be better served changing his politics, but oh well....

The fact is, if you weren't so....controversal, if you didn't push our buttons once in a while, we'd roughly have nothing to fight for, or against. We'd have nothing really to defend if you and the Drs, for instance, didn't assault us all the time. Plus I can usually count on one of you guys to acutally READ my blogs, if for nothing else but to tell me I'm horribly wrong. That's the primary reason I don't use my blacklist. I'm still not fond of personal attacks, but that's more of a dissolution of debate issue and hurt feelings versus any acutal disregard (and in some cases, disagreement. )
