Fight On
Kind of a memoir for soldiers that have fallen in battle if you take it literally. Metaphorically it can describe someone's life...take it how you want it, but most of all I hope you like it.

The stench of gunpowder,
Screams of the dying,
Explosions tearing through eardrums.
The hell of war, the horror of battle.
Do not let your courage fail you soldier,
Fight on.
All hope seems lost,
Comrades die along with the enemy,
Sure that you will not see your family again,
Nor your own home.
Fight on valiant soldier.
The tides of battle wash over you,
And the end seems eminent.
Do not accept death with open arms,
Keep up the fight, Oh Brave One.
Fight on till you draw your last breath,
Be not afraid of your demise.
Fight on for your family,
For your country.
Let it be known that you,
You have fought for all that is just and good,
You protected your loved ones,
You were not a coward.
Fight on, fight on,
And let the battle be won.
