You have to give more information. "It's broken" leaves doesn't give us anything to work with.
Is it just Desktop X you are having a problem with? If so, uninstall and reinstall using stardock central. Reboot in between uninstalling and reinstalling.

Can you hold down Alt-Ctrl-delete and bring up the Task Manager? If you can look under processes and highlight DesktopX and click end process. Look at the task list (Applications) and see if you have any programs running also.

ok basically i had pretty much all of them installed. (window blinds, cursorXP, desktopX) etc.
i dont know which one has the problem because i have them all.
I cant press ctrl+alt+delete because everything disappears every 2 seconds. This thing that says
"run DLL as an APP" keeps on reproducing its self every 5 secs roughly taking up about 5megs each time so the longer i leave it on the slower my comp gets. To be honest one of the times i tried, desktopX was there with the fish's i like but the start panel was still disappearing and i couldnt open anything. I dont think its DesktopX. its most likely to be Blinds cos that controls the start panel. hope this helps

weell i thinks you might want to uninstall it if'en ya can, that wood prolly be the best solution. A'course ya might have a virus or sumthin' you shood prolly scan that ASAP cos that cood mess sumthin' up if ya leeve it alone for too long...ya cood always try to install Adaware that might help if ya got spyware.

Can you shut down windowblinds?
Do you have any other windowblind like programs installed?

I had an issue that was not nearly as bad, but I could not rid myself of the issue without the use of "ondt_zapper" utility.

It worked for me, so here is the link to my post where you will see a link to this utility. It might be worth a try, and then you might want to install one program at a time and run it before installing another. This may allow you to track down the problem child program.

Hope this helps, the link is here: Link

That doesn't necessarily mean your system's clean. If you didn't apply any Windows security this can still lead to problems regardless of what else you have loaded.

Does our error message just say " run dll as app" or does it say "run dll as app has encountered an error" ? If it's the second message, read the instructions here: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/1107899612
Then run HijackThis and post the log here: http://forum.tweakxp.com/forum/messages.aspx?ForumID=29

If it happens again try startig in safe mode then running msconfig and disabling stuff (technical huh!) from there. May be ask an admin what is safe to switch off. The latest things installed should be the last checked things on the list. After that you could easily uninstall them. Hope it helps.
