Docklets

dll verses png

I've gotten a dll docklet loaded onto stardock ok. That was easy. But, I've downloaded other Docklets that are png with icons. I can't figure out how to add these to stardock. For example, Command Prompt docklet which is made up of png folder and icon folder. I thought this was a docklet that I could put into stardock and have a command prompt. I've checked the three pages of the forum and can't find anything that clears this up. Anybody, please?

First off there's a difference between docklets and .png's, icons. Dockelts are like mini programs that run under object dock. The png's and icons are what you assign to an "entry" on the dock itself. When you dowload a docklet it should be put in a folder under the ObjectDock/Docklets directory. The best thing to do with the icons and pngs is to put them into your ObjectDock/Images directory. That way when you make a new entry they should by default be shown when you change the image under Dock Entry Properties. Now so as not to confuse you, some of your docklets WILL contain pngs and icons and these should be left in the same folder with the docklet.
