Something is missing from wincustomize

Me and a few of my buddies were decussing how Awsome some of the creators are that post there masterpieces and how they create these cool designs. But we all noticed one thing that you dont see on wincustomize.....We dont see anything truely twisted and evil. We see alot of wierd designs that are sopposed to be evil looking but isn't. My five friends and i Would like to see some truely twisted minded designs. Something that has yet to be brought to wincutomize or to the whole internet. Out of all of the wallpapers i have sen in my time only one realy stands out to be truely wicked, it was created by the author "shallow" and the wallpaper is called "false v1". But we need to see alittle bit more. Not everyone is all about buunies and clouds (If you know what i mean). So please someone, anyone, please help us out.

If you want evil, step outside your front door or listen to the news. Dark (coloration)is good, because there is no light without shadow, but to me there is enough wicked in the world. If this site were mostly twisted stuff, I would stay away. JMHO.

The problem is that the Dark and Sinister is passe, unless you are Goth, PseudoGoth, Death Baby, or some other fashion that I am unfamiliar with.


Evil as an artistic medium is over used, and infantile. Dark Backgrounds, while conducive to that whole hackerish hidden and dangerous mentality and overall badboy atmosphere, is a dated concept. I put it right up there with the Matrix'y Green and Black, psuedo code. This also is right up there with PsuedoTech looking themes. Even the Geekiest of characters need a bit of fresh air, now and then.I think a true sign of a Fantastic Theme is Balance, sleekness with a leaning towards minimalistic tendencies.


I think the elegance of Simplicity is the watch word of the period. I mean the Japanese can wring alot of meaning, and beauty from a simple Haiku.

it looks like no one is geting the picture here. there are not much evil on wincustomize, its true. just take a look. Not everyone likes non-evil looking themes and wallpapers. Isnt wincustomize for everyone. For an example of a evil theme, what about a desktopx theme that looks like hell, or a wallpaper that has demons in it. Just because someone wants evil doesnt mean they are vil, they just like the look of it.

Most skinners make skins that they themselves would want to use. Many skinners start skinning because they can't find enough of what they like. That said, maybe it's time to crack open a graphics program and see what you can do.

Isnt wincustomize for everyone.


Wincustomize isn't for everyone. It is for Skinners, GUI Customizers and Family members, and apparently not too awfull many evilly themed people. Family members happen to be children you know, or others that might find evil to be offensive. WC is not a democracy, or a represenativve republic, there are no 'RIGHTS' here. WC is a direct represenative of a Company Called StarDock, and it chooses to reflect a good and trustwothy image. To do otherwise, would be pure (business) foolishness. Artistic license is tolerated to a modicum of what the group as a 'conservative' whole deems to be appropriate, and the understanding that this site is also visited by impressionable smaller, younger and more suggestable (future Customers) is shared amongst the sites population.


If you want to have 'EVIL' themes then I suggest you do what others before you have discovered. Use the tools offered by the Object Desktop to alter your GUI to your liking. After all isn't that the true spirit of this site. I know belabouring the lack of 'this' and 'that' isn't what it is about.
