Icon-A-Day, Tutorial Index.
As the Icon-A-Day Tutorials continue on, I realized that it is no longer practical to give links to each icon and tutorial, so I have decided to make a index of the entire project. I will updated it with each new entry as I finish each new tutorial.

Since the entire point of this project is to create a new IconPackager icon pack, I have decided to list the icons in the order they will appear in the final pack.

I will update this Index daily until the complete pack is done.

Paul, I have read all of your tutorials with a great deal of interest, and sadness because I know I would never be able to create like you do. I could buy CorelDraw but I can't buy the talent that you have.

Anyway, the point of my post is to say that I wish they would create catagories on the message board for tutorials, so they don't get buried and forgotten. There could be one for Icons, one for Windowblinds and maybe a Miscellaneous.

Thank you so much for the effort you have put into this project. It's just awesome!

Corel 10 and 12 will work properly, however if you are using 11 make sure you have both SP1 & 2 Installed.

Effects menu, Perspective.... I dose not work on some effects, like trasparnacy, or Bitmaps. You can do perspective to Bitmaps, with the bitmap tools menu.

Nice idea, this index.
Anyway, may I ask you something? I'm having some problems with background transparency. I use Corel Suite 12 and when I finish the whole thing I convert the vectors to bitmap, choose Bitmaps/Edit Bitmap and the bitmap opens in Photo-Paint, I save it as PNG and choose the transparent color but because of the anti-aliasing some traces of the background color remain. How can I fix it?

Thanks, mormegil . I haven't downloaded that article yet (now I certainly will) because I have plain 56 kbps line, and it really takes some time to download. Because I've seen there are more of us on Wincustomize with that problem can you please create an additional link with the zipped file?

Excelent work as a manual of CorelDRAW. I think that it's so clear, because I don't speak english, but I can understand almost everything. I would like to be able to download the finish and entire project in a PDF format or something, If you can...

I will most likely have some sort of All in one, once the porject is done.

i cant get it to work with the export of icons. when i export a icon with black hairline around i get an icon with transparet black lines around. how you get these sharp lines? i've looked the setup and export tutorial but i cant find the mistake i make. the same with the shadows generated per copy, turn and convert to bitmap. the resulting bitmap looks ugly.

humm

Well, The Line tool is tricky. If you are useing the Hair line setting it dose not alway represent the the final image. What I would recomend is converting your Lines to curves. Or using Boxes and and sapes insted. I try not to use the Outline becuse of this.  Nice work by the way.

my first try to make a folder, the export is very tricky, when i have a box as helpline corel says its size is 128x128 pixel. but in the export dialog the image size is shown as 124x106 pixels. i've no idea why.

Paul,
Your icons are of the most beautiful icons I've ever seen. The drawback is that they don't integrated well with the XP icons, because that they are so much better.
I looked over your tutorial, but I couldn't figure out how to put items into an open folder (like in the 'My Pictures Folder'). I don't have Corel Draw, but I do have Paint Shop Pro 9. A more comprehensive tutorial about that subject would be very welcome.
I have some requests:
Can you please publish your TODO list in the 'Tutorial Index'?
If it's not a trouble, I would also appreciate if you'll do some extra icons:
My Downloads Folder, My Shared Folder (for programs), My Projects Folder, Archive Folder,
My Programs Folder, Windows Folder, Games Folder...
I can try make them myself, but since I'm novice, the result would'nt be pretty.

what i think it would be great, one or two icons in corel format to see your settings. i've load your green folder from the corel for skinners but it says theres only a control group thet i cant split in his pieces. the closed folder and the standard file to look how you work? please.

Bryceart, It sounds like you have your bounding box set not to print, check the little printer Icon in the Object Manager, it could alos just be locked. Check out the exporting totorial agian, I think I mentioned that in there. somewere or perhaps in the Object Manager totoral.
