RSS Feeds updated on JoeUser

We have been tweaking the RSS feeds and the changes should improve your browsing experience. Here are some of the changes we have made.

  • Added JoeUser Image to the feed so you can visually recognize the JoeUser channel
  • The Date and Time fields are now RFC 822 compliant and should properly show up in your RSS Reader
  • The Item description now shows the first 400 characters of your article text instead of the sub title.  This should help give a better preview of the article
  • And most importantly, the link to the article now points to a stripped down version of the page that is more visually appealing and faster inside the reader.

I've already noticed that these changes have made a huge improvement when browsing articles through a reader.  We hope you enjoy them too!

Also, I forgot to mention that there was a bug in our script that would not show any of your articles in the rss feed. This has been fixed and it will properly generate the rss feed the next time you post an article.
