how do delete a desktop X object

im a noob at this stuff

hey how do you delete a desktopX object. NOT A WIDGET. i want to delete it because it gives me a popup saying the file is currut and i have to fix it but i dont know how. soo ill just delete it from my computer completely. does anyone know how?

Right-click on the DesktopX icon in your systray and click on > 'Switch to Authoring mode', then right click on the object in question and delet it.

Important: Back up the theme before you start deleting objects! Some objects are interconected with other parts of the theme and you might end up deleting more than you want to (especially if you delete all the 'child-obejcts' as well)
