hey i have the free ware version of windows blinds. is there a way to remove that pop up that always comes up after you login to your user name? its really annoying.

Hi,

The pop-up goes away with the registered version. But buying WindowBlinds (or Object Desktop, which is so much more) is not about getting rid of the pop-up, it's about all the other cool things it can do to your windows. The free version is limited just so you can see a small part of what the program is capable of.

I used the free version for a long time before upgrading to the paid version. It was the best $19.99 ive ever paid.

I agree.

Dirkel, the whole point of the popup is to get you to buy the program (that plus all the awesome features in the paid version). It really is worth it.

That is exactly the point... it's not freeware. It's shareware. The difference is that shareware means you test it out to see if you like it, then buy.

Save your skins in a temp folder. Uninstall the freeware version..REBOOT... install the purchased version...then move the skins in your temp folder into the new wb folder. .

I didn't even have to go to all that trouble, but it's better safe than sorry and is a good piece of advice if you dont want to take the chance of having to track down all your favorite skins and download them again..
