XP startup/shutdown issues

Has anyone had problems with ObjectDock Plus causing shutdown/startup issues in XP? It was running fine for a couple months, but now it causes XP to take 5 minutes or longer to shutdown (or it locks on shutdown), and when starting I keep getting the message that ObjectDock had to recover docklet settings to a prior save, due to a crash on shutdown. Even a clean install (ie. uninstalling and manually deleting any references to it in Registry) doesn't fix the problem.

I haven't done anything new with my system except cleanups (disk cleanup, regclean,etc.). Besides, a reinstall should fix any problems created by system maintenance.

Have reverted back to ObjectDock, which runs fine.

Did you delete the "ObjectDock Plus" folder from "C:\Documents and Settings\"user account"\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" directory before reinstall?

This is where your previous settings are stored and may be where the problem is (if you are running XP, don't forget to go to "Tools>Folder Options>View tab" and select "Show hidden files and folders" before navigating to folder).

I don't run docklets on my docks, just widgets on the desktop, so I have not seen the issue you are experiencing.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

In my troubleshooting, I deleted EVERYTHING related to ObjectDock, and even transferred my saved themes to my desktop (It's my laptop having the problem, but both run XP SP2).

I'm now just running the freeware Objectdock, and it's seamless.
