All Gods Chillens got shoes, say the dems, aftermath of S.O.U

My rebuttal of the dems rebuttal.

Well during the rebuttal part of tonight’s program, we were treated to the sight of not one but two democrats with religion.

Senator Harry Reid while pontificating about President Bush being wrong again on Social Security, But as usual offering no solutions to the problem, made sure he mentioned God and moral values as many times as possible. HA what a hypocrite.

Of course Harry mentioned the Democrats being willing to work with bush on any thing they agree on. What a jerk…of course he will work with MY President on things the Democratic Party wants. Putz!!

Ms Nancy Pelosi held her hands together while doing her share of pontificating trying to look scholarly and religious at the same time. Again I say HA.
Tonight there were more mentions of God and moral values than in the preceeding 4 years.
Tonight as I predicted the Democrats came through in flying colors {YELLOW} nay saying everything while once again offering NOT ONE CONCRETE IDEA!

The Democrats have become so predictable… if Bush wants it the Democrats oppose it!

Is this the coming together the Democrats whine about? Or is it just another day of democratic obstructionism?

I for one was very proud to be an American tonight; MY President came through magnificently, as he always does in the clutch.
Short concise plans for the future.. With hope of the Democrats being smart enough to help.. Bush will push his vision through with or without Democrats along for the ride.

I chose to listen to the SOTU on the radio - didn't want to be distracted by the predictable sour faces that I knew the cameras would zero in on. Also didn't want to be distracted by Bush's little tics, which are no big deal, but sometimes get in the way of the message (certainly for many on the left).

I thought it was his best speech since the post-9/11 speech to Congress. Superbly drafted & well-delivered. He even nailed "nuclear" - twice. His remarks about our soldiers and the prolonged applause for the fallen soldier's parents had me misting up. He was definitely in stride tonight.

I didn't bother with the rebuttal - I almost forced myself, but I knew what a pile of dung it would be & moved on to other, more productive things.

Cheers,

I thought the speech was well crafted too.

I did not just mist up, I had acid tears, over that scene, the iqaqi woman hugging them made it more to the point for me.

I saw a picture of the hug in the paper this morning. I'm afraid I would have just lost it sobbing if I'd been watching. A cold fish indeed who wouldn't be moved by that. Gives me mild chills just writing about it.

Hillary slept through it?  I guess I missed her when the camera panned to her.

The democrats besides booing the President last night seemed unmoved by that.

One of the reasons I chose to listen on the radio - no sense getting distracted by the inevitable. And I think I could hear a few boos a couple of times - didn't seem to bother Dubya much, or me.

Kinda bothered me cause it is damn disrespectfull, could you imagine the elite media feeding frenzy if the Republicans did that to a sitting democratic President?

c'mon...it wasn't just the Dems. Personally, I was wondering when someone was going to check Orrin Hatch's pulse!
