Races and PQ

Not sure if this has been discussed recently, but some races should find certain planets more appealing than others - esp the YOR.

I doubt much can be done now but the whole area of trade/food/research and PQ should be effected by race phsiology and psycology.

Eg. Should the YOR care about planets with many agricultural tiles. What about cold rocky planets w/o water these could be ideal for YOR but crap for water based life forms.
- Maybe we could have some preferring heat, large volumes of water, etc.

This then led me to the idea that the YOR could get an advantage at researching machine based tech and mineral extraction etc + they dont need sleep Humans and others could much easier/want to research terraforming, life sciences etc.
The Drengin could require many more argricultural tiles to feed its slave population but automatically get a bonus to military tech research and soldier strengt etc.... there are many possibilites.

An additional player benefit that greater differences to the benifts/penalties which different races have will all be brought out in the strategeies and gameplay which can be emplyed. This could be very important in GC2 now that we will be able to play as any race. So why bother playing as different races if the only difference are the icons/graphics? There needs to be real concrete differences to abilites/desires and penalties.

I would like too see some info on what stardock are planning in these areas???

erent requirements, for instance some races breathed dioxygen when others needed methane. Hence they did not colonize the same planets and were at peace most of the time.

gies or to possibly build race specific buildings on non-colonisable tiles. This would elave all planets useful to all races but allow certain races gain additional development space from the right sorts of planet tile.
