Another Possible Combat Idea

Here is an idea that has come to me that I would like to put forward. Since we now have moons around planets, could we perhaps add orbital weapons? A rail gun on a moon would be one heck of an weapon for defense, and would be a significant deterrent to assaults. Also, could we put military bases on the moons of a system? These would add significant defenses to a planet. Now, I understand that all of us keep coming up with these ideas and suggesting things, and you are trying to get this thing out. I'm waiting as much as anyone. But, hey, why not suggest?

Moons bases defenses could include beam, kinetic, and missile types of weapons. They would make planets with moons significantly more attractive and worthwhile to colonize.

Simple solution that allows for a moons potential to be used without extra micromanagement.

Orbital weapon platforms should be a must have in this next expansion. Rather than have a full blow spacesttion - a missle platform can be done on the cheap - defense wth out the high maintenaince.
