Task Bar Help

On several of the themes Ive installed, if I opt to show the task bar, there is a space about 25 pixels tall on the top of the screen that I cannot move any windows into. This makes it hard impossible to control some applications because I cannot use the entire desktop. Is there a way around this? Or does DesktopX just hate the taskbar?

Oh and I should mention that if I turn the task bar back off (select hide task bar) the '25 pixel force firled' at the top reminas, and the bottom where the task bar was, stays black rather than filling back up wiht the wallpaper like Id expect.

OK.. I feel dumb now.. figure dit out.. I had the workspace box checked for some reason... live and learn I guess
