SDC is working fine for me. Perhaps you should go to the support site and put in your email address to get the direct link for SDC and uninstall, then reinstall it.

Hm, SDC updated fine for me, but now it just says that it's verifying internet connection and it stays hung there.

It seems like everytime I open SDC, there is yet another update (for it) that is downloaded and installed. Yet, now when I go to the (Forum) Discussion section, it looks like it's based on the old site, and all the threads listed are old. The current version of SDC that I have loaded is Version 2.03c.318, build 80. Is there a way to get the newest forum topics to load?

ama02: Have you tried and hit F5? This should refresh your threads in SDC.

If it doesn't work you try the following:

Close SDC and then go into your SD Central\Discussion folder and delete the General-, Personal Computing-, OS Customization-, Support-, Tutorials-, and WC-news-ini's. Then restart SDC and hit F5.

Thanks for the reply aufisch, no I haven't tried that but I will.

One more question though...In SDC, when I uninstalled my current WB, rebooted, then used SDC to install WB 4.5, it installed it in another directory (Program Files>Stardock) instead of Program Files>Object Desktop, which is where I have all my blinds installed. Is there a way to direct SDC to install it to my Object Desktop directory? Or do I need to move all my blinds to the new directory...otherwise I cannot see my other blinds, just the ones that were installed with the new version.

edit: I've deleted the only .ini files in my SDC discussion folder, which included discussion.ini, and that fixed it...thanks! Still waiting for help on my 2nd question.

edit part deux: Okay, I've gone exploring through SDC, and found the settings panel. I checkmarked the item to have SDC prompt for a directory path...then I uninstalled the new version from the Stardock directory and reinstalled it into Object Desktop. Everything is back on track.
