Put up or shut up

Each time I rail against the Democratic party I get this thrown in my face:" There are plenty of Democrats willing to work with President Bush and the Republicans"< ok GIve me a list of members of the Senate and house that have come out and actually done more than "say" they will work with Bush,as of 2004 to date!

If you cannot back up your words with facts keep this mention out of my blog sight.

When you accuse me of mindless rhetoric, and spew the same crap at me how can you expect reasonable discourse?

I can fling Insult as well as the next guy, I can be just as unreasonable as the next person.
I can spew rhetoric and discontent as good as any democrat.

This is an opportunity fror reasonable discussion. Not some kind of trap. Use this if you dare. Be prepared to back up your stuff with FACTS, truth, and some common courtesy and I will return same.

\ If you want WAR I can give it to you, If you want PEACE I can give that to you also.

Reply By: Dr. GuyPosted: Tuesday, January 25, 2005Two term presdents usually get smacked around more the second go around as well. My advice to you guys is to get used to it. That is not the issue or the thread. The issue is the left conttemptously calling bush a divider when he has tried to be a uniter (who wrote the NCLB act?), and got spit on by the left for doing so.You may not agree with his politics, or his positions, but lay the blame where it belongs. At the feet of those who would rather demigogue their conttempt than to sit down and discuss the issues. You cant negotiate with clowns that sit on their hands and refuse to even discuss the issue.

exactly....

Place the blame where it belongs? It belongs at 1600 Pennsylvania avenue.

If dubya even TRIED to work with the opposition he would have accomplished something in his first term. Instead nothing was done. His far right wing agenda is not in favor with the majority . (hence the word FAR). It's not the unwillingness of the left that's causing the problem, it's the arrogance of the administration thinking they can shove draconian legislation down the throats of people who aren't going to go along blindly. Politics is a hard ball game fellas. You seem to labor under the delusion that regardless of how dangerous and fiscally unsound some of the stuff dubya is trying to pull is ok just because he's the president.

Guess again!

First of Dr.Guy, the Democrats supported NCLB, they don't however support how the President has gone about enforcong it. Second neither all members of the left or right have ever shown they do not wish to discuss the issues. Members of the left simply have shown strong opposition to a President who doesn't seem to want to compromise on any details of his plans. Then finally, Bush has tried somewhat to be a uniter as have Dems. In the end we are tallying up a scorecard of who has done or hasen't done this, or that, which of course won't get any one any where.

That's called a closing statement. And it's also a fact. Crack open the history books and read up on it if you don't believe me.

NCLB and the election reform bills come quickly off the top of my head. That was at the start of his time in office. Bothsides have worked together then (even if they didn't produce anything good IMO).

As for lately, Bush has asked Dems to submit proposals and sit in on talks, but have received the big NO (Dems are afraid to look like they are cowtoeing to Bush). I can not even remember one Dem who has even asked to nagoiate in the last two years. I maybe wrong, if you got something I will say I am. Both Sen. Reid and Rep. Poloski have both said that they will fight all of Bush's actions tooth and nail. Even Kerry has already broke his promise of working with the Pres.

That's My Two Cents

The link above is to the full article this excerpt was taken from
In a letter to President Bush, many Senate Democrats laid out a half-dozen conditions for support of any compromise that might emerge from negotiations between the two chambers on the shape of a final bill.

Here's another more recent one that deels somewhat of proof of negotiations.

If perchance you are refering to the Senate Confirmation Hearings then you are sadly mistaken, and even if not you are still mistaken. Kerry promised to "work with" the Pres. not vote for everything he wants because he is the President.

Good links DNC to the rare times resently (in my view) that it did happen. I just wish it would occure more often and would not sound like a cat fight either.

YOU are the one who needs to guess again. Wether or not you or I agree with what he's doing is a moot point. There is only one time our voice matters and that's at the poles!!!

Their fault then since Teddy pretty much wrote it. But it does prove the point. He has tried to work with them, and gotten spat on for his efforts. The hate and vitriol in Congress is worse than at any time in recent memory, and it is all coming from the left.

Please show me where I questioned your 'fact'?  Howabout I took it off into another direction.  As in why should we be surprised that the Democrats are not going to work with Bush in his second term when they refused to in the first as well?  It has already started with Dr. Rice's confirmation hearings, and Boxer, the biggest liar on the hill, calling Rice one.

Now that is really working with him.......NOT

No that's not what I said, I said very clearly Dems supported the bill, not how the President acted on the bill.

I would like to point out that any politician in his/her right mind is going to vote against a Bush policy that all of America really needs,

Sorry I mistated that, hopefully you all saw what I meant to say, I was trying to say vote FOR a Bush policy all of America needs.

got cha! All I can say is Bush has made mistake and these mistakes cause death.. but then again the nature of war is sick and twisted period.. All I ever wanted was for the dems and the reps to step up to the plate and ADMIT MISTAKES ARE MADE on both ends of the political spectrum.

Amen DNCdude, accountability for their actions, you'd think they would learn that as they became adults [slight sarcastic comment intended]

Myrrander--with your recent comments, the insistant, conflict stirring(in my POV) ones, i have lost a great deal of respect for you...

I personally have been thinking about switching parties, to lean to Constitution or America Patriot Party...u can laugh but as i've heard here, i am voting my conscience...
