ObjectDock Plus and the Taskbar

Hello all,

I have ObjectDock Plus installed on my main computer, which is a Windows 2000 machine. When I installed it, I had my taskbar showing along the bottom edge and the tabbed dock would dock on the upper edge of the taskbar. I have since set ObjectDock to hide the Taskbar - and it does. However, the tabbed dock is docking to where the Taskbar would end if it were visible, and not to the bottom of the screen. Rebooting, starting and stopping ObjectDock Plus, undocking and redocking - none of these activities will get ObjectDock Plus to dock at the bottom of the screen.

I also tried installing ObjectDock Plus on my laptop which is an Windows XP machine. On that machine I had my taskbar set to autohide and the ObjectDock tabbed dock would dock at the bottom of the screen. When I turned off the autohide, the tabbed dock would continue docking to the bottom of the screen and covering a portion of the taskbar instead of docking at the top of the taskbar. Again, none of the maneuvers I could think of would convince Object Dock to adjust it's docking position.

How do I get ObjectDock Plus to notice when I make a change to my taskbar and have it adjust it's behavior accordingly?

thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

Go to dock properties and check the "hide the windows taskbar" setting. Doing it in the property settings hides it completely without the gap. Hiding it with the hide/show docklet leaves the gap.

If you should decide to bring the taskbar back up by unchecking that setting make sure you bring any tabbed docks away from the bottom first. When I first did that it brought the taskbar back but then hide my tabbed dock and I couldn't bring it back up, and I had to hide the dock again to bring the tabbed dock up and then restore the taskbar.
