Bush Administration planning attack on Iran

Tommarow, many will be reading a story in the New Yorker reporting that the United States is creating plans to attack Iran. Details will be available to you tommarow, but for now we know that US forces have been conducting secret spy missions in Iran to garner intelligence for air strikes and short commando operations. I seriously hope that the United STates doesn't make the same mistake again. Its bad enough that GWBush believes he has a mandate to fight whoever he wants, but to do this would be just plain stupid.

Pentagon reports have concluded that an attack on Iran could be encouraged by Iranians. I don't think so. Isn't the pentagon the same organization that said US forces would be welcomed in Iraq. Seems to me they were wrong then, so I conclude they are probbably wrong this time too.

Don't do it Bush. Think before you act, I know its hard but try.

"All of these training missions will be really useful when we Utah declears wear with us (or something like that)." Broken Arrow near the beginning.

I got to ask.

Why? What is the use of it? I understand debate (in my days it was Vietnam and pot), but what were the arguements for Antartica?

Supposedly there are some natural resources down there (and all the penguin meat you can eat) but personally I could care less about Antartica its the rest of the world I want mwahahahahah.

Oh, and Dan Rather was right too. He may have had a bad source, but the fact that bush skipped duty is true.

No, Sandy, he was dead wrong.

Bush allowed his medical certificate to expire (probably intentionally is my guess, not necessarily for any nefarious or cowardly reasons - we'll probably never know for sure) but not in violation of an order.

I have a good friend who was an active duty fighter pilot in the Air Force from the late 1960's through early 1980's (including a tour as Thunderbird 3) who has confirmed for me that pilots were not issued specific orders to undergo flight physicals. They might receive an administrative reminder in advance of the due date, but no "order" to appear. It is conceivable that the TexANG conducted business differently, but there is no evidence they did so. The whole "Bush disobeyed orders" fiction is just that, a Bush-hater's wet dream. The post-facto "orders" that have been published were routine notices concerning the "suspended" flight status of Bush and a couple of other pilots who had allowed their medical certificates to lapse - he was hardly the only one. I've been unable to find any evidence that any direct order was disobeyed by Bush, and I've look hard at a bunch of the "AWOL" sites.

Cheers,
Daiwa
