I think that we are chemical and clean happy. If you think of how obsessed people are with cleaning......how come everyone's sick all the time? We have all these chemicals around, and all these people have all these crazy allergies (like deathly allergic to peanuts- that was never heard of when I was a kid.) Think of one of the countries most popular drinks- diet soda. We love our diet soda which is nothing more than a can of chemicals mixed with carbonated water.
Considering that my daughter is allergic to non-organic milk (we can't figure out if it's the over fortification of regular milk, or the added hormones that re in it, or both) I can totally believe that chemicals are making us sick.
Do I think it will change? Not in my life time. But, as another example, John Travolta had a child that almost died because of a chemical build up from household cleaning supplies. they switched to using natural cleaners (like water, vinegar, black tea for hardwoods, etc.) to clean their house.
