I am not sure about the trial version, but when you have DesktopX loaded do you get a icon in your System tray? If yes, try to rigth click on that and either click on "Configure DesktopX" or on "Switch to Authoring Mode" and then on "Configure DesktopX". You will find the Startup option on the 'Preferences' tab in the configuratio menu.

If you don't have this option, you can always do the following:

1) Open WindowsExplorer and go into your DesktopX folder (presumably somewhere in c:\Program Files\Stardock\)

2) Right-click on DesktopX.exe and choose 'create shortcut'

3) Move this shortcut into your Startup folder (c:\Documents and Setting\"Your user Account"\StartMenu\Programs\Startup)

The Program will now start every time Windows starts. You can use this trick for any program you want to run at startup. If you move the shortcut to c:\Documents and Setting\All Users\StartMenu\Programs\Startup, then the program will start for all users of this computer.
