Senate Control

One issue I wish could be resolved is how during an election if your party is voted exactly the same amount as any other party you immediately lose control of the senate. While I can appreciate that you no longer have a majority shouldnt there be something were the previous ruling party has the deciding vote, i.e. the Vice President in a tied Senate vote?

during that time (perhaps designating your voting bloc to another civ for the time being?).

You mean, buy votes, don't you? Or are you trying to get Star Dock to put in a mini-Political Machine into GC2?

How about a GC2 version of political machine? Be a Drengin and campaign for better slave food! (food from slaves not food for slaves). Or be an altarian and decide which race to look like next!

sounds interesting but oh so much customization. I've asked on the main post how much of this will be practical...heres hoping for a lot of it.

fore the election and you'll get a landslide. its just to simple. maybe factor in something else for GC2 that relates to the player only.

st a short term measure....reflecting reality.

Despite this - I can't this being implemented as it may be too complex to manage with constantly swing moral + making play testing more difficult..

andslide victory by just setting taxes to zero in the election year.

e difficult to code up some such system. It would be better then a pure average morale since last election. Less data to track, I bet. But, would it make the game more enjoyable?

but not easier than a two-line algorithm.

eck morale, and drop taxes at election time if need be to get re-elected), why not just remove elections? I like them for the bit of seasoning they add to the game, but they are a trivial issue for most players at this time, aren't they?

-so-far and modifies it with a new value that is weighted according to the number of values that went into the calculation before. See?
