Icons: Can I Chage Them Individually With IP?

need info

Hey all.

I was wondering if I could choose to change icons individually with Icon Packager (have never used it as of yet)?
I don't necessarily want to change 50 icons on my sysytem. So can I install only the icons I want to change? Or pick and choose?

You see where I'm going with this. Please let me know if there's a way for me do change icons individually with IP.

Thanks much.

Once IP is installed, it's quite simple to change individual icons. All you have to do is right click on the thing you want to change, choose Properties on the right click menu, and go to the Customize tab. There's a button here to change the icon of the shortcut or the folder, and you just simply browse to the icon. Some folders or special areas on your computer also have an "Icon" tab to change the icon associated with it.

Thanks for the info.

Just one more question... how do I use only select icons out of packages? Since they're all bundled as packages, if I install them, wont they change all the icons on my system?

For example, say I like just 3 or 4 icons out of a package that I'd like to change on my system. How do I do this when the icons are in packages? I cant seem to extract them individually.

Thanks again.

You don't have to extract the individual icons, IconPackager will do it for you. To change individual icons or just a few icons with IconPackager. First open up IconPackager and instead of loading a theme, choose Icons and cursors in the lefthand menu. Across the top of the righthand window will be all the icon categories. Change the icons you want by browsing to the *icl file and when you're done making all your changes, click apply. You can also save your current selection of icons as a theme by clicking on file => Save Package As.
