Well, i thought i would try and get some feedback from you guys and gals, on the topic of fair play.As you all know i am one who really don't care about Stats, to me they don't mean much. When i upload a blind, logon or what ever, i do so to try and get it out to all the community.That my reward.But for the last few uploads it seems that someone is having fun by cuting rateings. My last 3 blinds, has gone from 6 to 2 of thwm to a 4 and 1 to a 3 there for limiting the amount of people who can get so see them, there for what is the use of sending anything if it is just to have the rating cut.So my question to you is ..Do you find that fair to the people who don't get to see them..and if you do then how is it fair to them ??

Ok.... One more thing, before anyone desides to give me grief about my earlier statements, One I do stand by them, simply because i still feel this viewing , rating or whatever you want to call it, system, definently needs some kind of improvement, I could care a less about stats, ratings or whatever, i'm here to share, improve and provide any help i can... but i'm not a hot-head and i do take things into consideration, being a professional Airbrush Artist & Graphics Designer, I do feel i do know a little somethin, somethin, and i'm not one to shy away from critisism (in fact i thrive on it), not like some people (whats his name I'm God, something like that, yeah saw that thread too), someone wants to tell me my work sucks, fine, tell me why and i'll work to improve it, my issue is in order to improve, and work on becoming a top skinner, you need imput, but if the system (site, individuals whatever) is going to rate work in a manner in which it will not be seen, how are the Newbe's Novice, greenhorns or whatever you want to call us (me Included), going to get that imput/experience. Like i have stated many times, i understand vets have earned their place (there is no question), and i have never had anything against anyone, or intentionaly try to offend anyone, in fact the top skinners here do some awsome work and have also inspired some of my own. I just believe everyone deserves an opportunity, Regardless! and with watching things for the past few weeks, something doesn't seem right, Its like the statement bluehalo made.... and for god sakes, some one coming in here and giving me this improve your work, or its not happening crap, please, somethings happening, not only have i seen it throughout the site (even with my own stuff), but your also getting enough people also making an issue out of it.... Kinda funny, all day, all i've seen is the comment "Improve your work, Improve your work" whats wrong with maybe improving the system so its a little bit more fair for everyone, RATE FOR WHAT YOU KNOW, NOT WHO YOU KNOW!!!!! (Just My Opinion)

Now that the copyright issue has been cleared by Jafo lets clear some of the rating issue.
I do agree that this is not a site for the elite nor is run by elitists.
This site is fueled by the work of everyone that contributes to it and these are the same people that download, comment and rate the work, but keep in mind that not everyone that has the privilege of rating is a skinner. As a matter of fact, there are more people that can rate than active skinners. And while there is some truth on the fact that a seasoned skinner would get better or more ratings than a new one, you have to realize that the 'oldest' skinners went thru all the low ratings ordeal and pay their dues to the community as a whole and they now collect the reward for their efforts.

And Jafo, please don’t remove my Logons, they are all mine, mine I tell ya' I swear they are.

Copyright issure answered, but it sure seems to me that the ones that claim they don't give a damn about the ratings are the very ones who are doing the most bitching. Wincustomize may do the initial rating on an upload, and sure it is a subjective thing, but from there the ratings fluctuate by the ratings the people viewing it give it. There are no conspirisies here, people like what they like and funny how the so-called "Elite" keep the high ratings even after the initial rating from Wincustomize, their work is generally better all around, besides looking at them here and liking or not liking them, in actual use alot of the stuff from the people learning just doesn't compare, skins are slow and not well skinned, things don't match up, etc. The "Elite" may get a higher rating due to their reputation, but from there it's in the hands of the people that visit here and download their stuff. I don't comment or rate things until I've downloaded and used them...looks aren't always everything, a lot of good looking skins behave like crap and are virtually unusable

i don't think it matters what you think of the rating methods
it probably won't get changed no matter what you say or think
so i don't really care...don't have the time or will to care...
there are more important things in life than worrying about
ratings...just keep smiling
