Staples has to remind "we are a-political"

Link here: Statement about Staples media buying and Sinclair Broadcasting

In response to recent reports about Staples media buying and Sinclair Broadcasting, Staples has the following statement:
Our media buying process with Sinclair Broadcasting stations has recently been misrepresented by an organization with no affiliation to Staples. Staples regularly drops and adds specific programs from our media buying schedule, as we evaluate and adjust how to best reach our customers.
Staples does not support any political party. We advertise with a variety of media outlets, but do not necessarily share the same views of these organizations or what they report. As we have done for a number of years, Staples will continue to advertise on Sinclair Broadcasting stations.

This in knee-jerk response to apparent complaints generated after Drudge and others reported that Staples was pulling advertising from Sinclair stations. Apparently those reports generated complaints at Staples, along with threats to boycott Staples over this apparent boycott.

Staples seems to have had to remind themselves (and all of their customers) that they are independent and a-political, after of course all of this response which seemed to have come about because liberals had complained about Sinclair's "bias" in their commentary and had targetted Staples because they were a regular advertiser during Sinclair news broadcasts where the commentaries run.

So, first we have Sinclair being protested and complained about, then we have liberals targetting advertisers like Staples, and in response, we have conservatives telling Staples that they too can vote with their wallets.
