Stardock Central problem

loader.exe vs. sdcentral.exe

Even though I have performed clean uninstalls of Stardock Central and all Object Desktop components, wiping them completely from my system, then reinstalling SDC, updating as prompted, and restarting, I continue to get the error message: "Please makesure you are launching Stardock Central from a shortcut to loader.exe instead of sdcentral.exe."
The problem is that loader.exe is not installed, despite my desperate atttempts to uninstall, reinstall, etc...
HELP!

hmmmmmmm...that's the right file.....

Make sure that 'Loader.exe' is (or isn't) in C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral folder. You must change any shortcuts you created to point to that file. Let us know if it's not there.

I once had the same problem. After auto-update SDC, I got the same message. When a did a search for "loader.exe" it wasn't anywhere, in fact I had lost quite a few files out of my SDC program. I decided then to unistall, download the last SDC-file from Stardock and reinstalled. This solved my problem.

Did you reinstall with an archived Version of SCD or did you download the installer from Stardock? I would recommend to download the newest installer from Stardock. https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/
