E-mail checker configuration

I am working on a desktopx object, a mail checker. Everytime I start it up I have to enter the server information again. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it is?

you're not doing anything wrong. the plugin was built that way just in case you share it with anyone it doesn't have your password included.
