Remeber the last a Clinton surrogate entered a Buddhist Temple? Wasn't it Al Gore in 2000? Something about campaign donations.....

And now the dynamic duo enter one together....

Hide your wallets, Buddhists.

NEW YORK -- Former President Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton toured a Buddhist temple in Queens on Friday and pledged their support of relief efforts for the tsunami victims in Asia.

The temple, on a residential street in the Parkside Hill neighborhood, was a hive of activity as volunteers packed boxes of clothes and other supplies being shipped to Sri Lanka, where about 28,500 people were killed by the raging tidal waves last weekend.

Your link isn't working for me, but regardless, is very nice of the buddhists to help out the people in sri lanka. Did the clintons actually do anything or just say pretty words and have a tour around the place? Although that could be helpful in it's own way, by bringing what the buddhists are doing to help to more peoples attention and bringing more volunteers and supplies out. Or it might just have wasted the tour guides time, who knows.

It appears the linked article was just removed. I went back to research it again on google, but the article has been taken down by newsday. Sorry about that.

Ok, after more research, I changed the link. It appears Newsday took down the article. NY Newsday still has it posted, so that link should work.

Link works now, good job After having read the article sounds like a good plan, using the temples connection to other temples in the area to coordinate releif efforts.
