Windows XP Multiuser & ObjectDock+

No zooming icons in limited user accounts

Hello there, and thanks in advance !

I will try to explain the problem as clear as possible: if I run ObjectDock in a limited user Windows XP account (ie. no administration rights), the icons in the dock have no zooming effect. If I change the account type and put it to administration account, then the icons work right (have zoom effect). In my opinion, this is due to Windows XP security issue (note that I use the word "issue", but not in a negative way), that prevents "normal" users processes to take certain amounts of CPU.

Could someone please confirm me this ? It's possible to tweak Windows in order to make it work (the answer is not: "put the account in administration type") ? Perhaps Objectdock(+) has an option I've ommitted ?

Again, thanks in advance for your help, and let me wish you a Merry Christmas !

I'm not sure about the zooming relation to the permissions, but I know for sure that the tabbed docks won't zoom the icons, only the normal docks will. I'd make sure you're using the normal ones first. (Sorry if it doesn't help either!)

The latest beta of OD+ does allow you to set the icons to zoom in the tabbed docks. As far as the difference between administration account and other users I would have to agree with you that it's probably a "policy" issue with XP. However I'm not aware of where you could affect a change for this behavior.
