System Tray problems in DesktopX 2.4

I just purchased, installed, and started to use DesktopX. In going through the various object creations, it seems that the one of type "Sys Tray" doesn't create a System Tray, but rather reverts back to "Layer". When I imported the "Simple Tray", it's properties list the object type as "System Tray". Is it possible that there is a naming issue here and the combo box for Object Type mispelled the name of the object?

Secondly, the Simple Tray object that I imported onto my desktop doesn't really work that well. Right-clicking on any of the icons does not bring up the programs context menu, but rather the DesktopX context menu for an object. A couple of my 20 tray icons display their context menu on a single LEFT click. All of the tray programs require a double click to bring up their main UI even though some usually only require a single click. And lastly, one of my tray programs cannot be brought up at all (Mozilla Thunderbird when closed to the tray.)

I tried ObjectDock's Tray which works fine, but I don't know how to turn that into a desktop object to incorporate into my theme.

Anyone have similar problems or know how to get around them?

I'm having a similar problem. I'm using the H2SO4 theme, and the systray doesn't show any icons, even though it should have around fifteen. Any ideas?

I am facing the same problem..
In going through the various object creations, it seems that the one of type "Sys Tray" doesn't create a System Tray, but rather reverts back to "Layer".
Also, when you select Systray it does not give you any options for its creation.
Help would be appreciated, thx

Same deal here. Selecting "SysTray" for a new or existing object simply reverts back to whatever object type it was before selecting the SysTray type. It's pretty annoying since it is one of the features of DX that got me to start using it to begin with. I've emailed Stardock but if the past is any indicator of the present, I don't expect a lot of assistance from SD email support.

The systray does work.. but only if you dont try and change the background image.. I have a new "dock" that i cant finish because the systray sucks right now. Lets hope they get this fixed ASAP!!
