After Upgrade Animation is Terrible

Just upgraded to the beta of Object Desktop and I am perplexed by one small, albeit annoying problem. Prior to the upgrade, I had the task panel docked on the left side of the screen. When I moused to the edge, the task panel was always very smooth and fluid when extending or retracting. After the upgrade, it will retract smoothly, but the extending is very jerky. It doesn't tile or pixelate, it actually looks as if it is on rusty gears and jerks and jumps when extending. I have monitored the cpu usage and it is usually at 0 to 5% so that shouldn't be an issue. Nothing, system wise, changed during the upgrade or after. I'm running a P4 at 3.2 Ghz. with a gig of ram, so horsepower shouldn't be an issue. Any suggestions or comments are more than welcome. Have a Happy New Year
