recycle bin on desktop and in od?

i would also like to know how to get rid of, or hide the recycle bin on the desktop ? i want to use only and see only the od recycle bin? thanks in advance, this is my second flaw ive found.

Download Tweakui here: http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp

After installing, run it and remove the check mark from Recycle Bin under the Desktop tab.

i cant seem to get it to work, i followed all directions--created new folder on desktop--downloaded tweak to that folder---doubleclicked icon in folder---it says tweak ui should be run from control panel, would you like to install it now---i said yes---then what???

Make sure you downloaded and installed the version of tweakui for your version of windows. The version for XP doesn't run from the control panel, but from a shortcut in your all programs menu. The version for XP is available here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

For WinXP this is the correct way to do it. Go to your 'run' shortcut (or winkey +R)
and type 'gpedit.msc' (no quotes). Then just browse to the following:

-->User Configuration -->Administrative templates -->Desktop -->Remove Recycle Bin from Desktop (set this to 'enabled'). Logoff, logon and it is gone.
