Cant run window blinds as limited user

I was running window blinds fine for a while (under a limited user account)

Well, yesterday I reformatted and so forth. I installed the new wb ver 4.4 and now no skins show up. Is there any way to find an older version of window blinds?

Also, in downloading the bonus skins for wb, a few did show up, but as soon as it was applied, it created an error report.

Also, I get this message while trying to run the other programs

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropiate permissions to access the item.

I've even given the limited user account admin rights to test it. Same thing.

It's funny, no other programs give me this error.

running xp pro with sp2.

Finally got this corrected. I really dont know what the problem was, but instead of using sd central 132 I used the 2,0 version. Reinstalled everything (after uninstalling, but I did that before)

Anyway, everything works.

I saw similar issues.

I don't run, as a rule, an admin or power user account, especially browsing, etc. I initially installed Stardock Central and Windowblinds (v4.49b[rc].002) with admin account and tried to use as normal user. Couldn't add skin. Gave user account full control to Windowblinds program folder, skinning appeared to be partially working. I then reinstalled (really restored my system image), temporarily added user account to admins, installed Stardock and Windowblinds, removed user account from admins, and everything appears to be working. I haven't done anymore research, but I suspect there are other system files, registry settings, etc., that my user account needed permissions on, in addition to the program files folder.

Similar issues exist with many other programs, such as WinAmp. But for WinAmp, in order to run as non-admin account, all you need to do is give full control to WinAmp folder to user account.

Bit of a pain, but just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not after me...
