SysTray and Task Bar in Same Dock

Hi,

I'm a new user of Object Dock Plus, and I really like it. However, I can't seem to be able to put the system tray and task bar on the same dock, which is quite a problem, as now I have to have two separate docks. Maybe I'm missing something simple, but every time I click on one in the preferences, the other gets unclicked.

Any solutions?

My solution is a taskabr dock 'top left', and a systray dock 'top right'.
You could also use a tabbed dock, with a systray tab, and taskbar tab.

I currently have something similar to your first solution. However, it seems kind of odd that you can't have them both on the same dock, as that would seem to make a lot of sense. So I am guessing there isn't really a way?

Currently I have a main dock bottom center with taskbar to the left side of it, and a small systray dock on the bottom right corner that autohides and I can call up, so they never collide.

Personally, I use the taskbar dock. I click the apps icon, and the window is restored.

I've noticed a new feature in the latest version. Under Advanced Options, there's a setting that reads "When shortcut is run, if program is already running, bring it to the foreground only." (this only works for non-tabbed docks using running indicators)

hi,i also have the problem...but when i use the seperate docks:one for task bar,and the other for system tray,
but the tray dock doesn't appear anything like the normal tray icons...ex msn, antivirus sw....it showes nothing when i choose "system tray"

If your systray dock isn't working, it's probably because you don't have the Stardock MCP (sdmcp.exe) running. It's included with Startdock Central, and can be enabled/disabled in Tools > Settings > General > "Enable MCP notification support" & " Enable MCP SmartStartup"

Sorry I wasn't clear about that..... Tools > Settings > etc... I'm referring to, is in Stardcok Central. I think MCP will be included in future versions of OD+, but for now you'll need to download SDC. https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/
