CursorXP Crashes Explorer.exe

I'm not sure if this is a known bug or not. I couldn't find a article on this. Unless I just wasn't looking in the right spot.

When CursorXP is running, my explorer crashes repeatedly. I narrowed it down to this program.

It's the Public version
Computer Specs:
Windows XP Pro w/SP2
AMD 64 3400+
1GB of RAM

I think that covers the needed info. If you need anymore, please let me know.

What's new in CursorXP Plus 1.31 (December 2004)

- Support for DEP on AMD64 processors running 32-bit Windows XP SP2.

I don't think they fixed the free version...you can play with the DEP in System/Advanced/Performance

So, when it's gonna be changed in the Free Version, or is there no ambition to do it ever.. ?

I have the same problem, my PC has the following specifications:

Windows XP Pro SP2
Athlon 64 3200+
1024 MB Ram

Where do I have to change the details to make it run even if 64 bit is not supported?

End users who are logged on as administrators can manually configure DEP between the OptIn and OptOut policies using the Data Execution Prevention tab inside the System Properties dialog box. The following procedure describes how to manually configure DEP on the computer:

1.Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.

2.Click the Advanced tab. Then, under Performance, click Settings.

3.Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.

4.Click Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only to select the OptIn policy.

5.Click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select to select the OptOut policy.

6.If you selected the OptOut policy, click Add and add the applications that you do not want to use DEP with.

Dont work in anyways.. i have xp pro sp2... and explorer cointinue crashing...

well, send an e-mail to SD and see if they respond. You are using the free version so if it doesn't work you're just kind of on your own. I can tell you however that the paid version works just fine on AMD 64 processors because that is what I use and I never have any problems.

lol dude how can they help if you give them no info
if your Explorer.exe is crashing
then go into your "Event Viewer" & copy the info there so they can see y it is crashing

Hi
I have the same problem. With two of ten Windows starts explorer.exe crashes.
Moreover there is no information in the "Event Viewer"!!!!

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Dualcore
MSI 6800NX GeForce 256 MB Grafik
2 GB RAM
MSI K8N Diamond Mainboard

i have cursor XP and it causes no problems on my computer


CPU - AMD 64 3000+
1526MB RAM
Windows XP SP2
ATi 9600 pro 256mb

might be something in your system settings

if your Explorer.exe is crashing
then go into your "Event Viewer" & copy the info there so they can see y it is crashing

Hi Bichur,
Explorer. EXE crashes cause no entry in the "Event Viewer".
I am frustrated and have uninstalled CursorXP.
