Desktopx newbie problems

for some reason my version of desktop x 2.3 will not let me move any objects around on the screen during edit mode...i have even unchecked the lock objects box on the config settings.....i also cannot edit text inside objects....can anyone help?

Some objects are set at lock instead of default, so they won't move when you change a general setting in config. The text thing is another problem entirely. Considering both, try un-installing DX completely and re-boot. Install the newest version 2.4 https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/downloads.asp and see if that does the trick.

I have found that if I hold the CTRL key down, I can then drag objects around even when locked.
