Sorry to you teachers, school admins, students and others that would benefit from these school bond measures -- keeping church out of state has costs associated, and you all can pay the price.

Huzzah! Finally, someone (or several someones) have decided to really stand up and fight the fight on this issue. Congrats to the citizens in Oklahoma for having guts to do what is right.

Moron of the year nominations should go to the Superintendent for his stupid pre-emptive reaction to a potential lawsuit based on the inclusion of one particular religious symbol (while still allowing the inclusion of Hanukkah and Kawanzaa symbols -- see the rest of the linked article for that info).

While I support the rights of everyone, I'm (as people that have followed my blog and postings may have noticed) am just fed up with small (minded, as well as small in numbers) minorities that feel that their rights are more important than mine (or the rest of the silent majority). Atheists, Pagans, Satan worshipers, and others can take the opinions elsewhere or just turn their heads for a few minutes when/if offensive religious symbols are in front of them. If it bothers them, then too bad. Their activies bother me in many cases, yet I do look past them and allow them their space to do what they want, how they want, and where (for the most part) they want.

I'm not religious but feel that since Christmas is a federal holiday that public schools should teach what it is about. It is not an endorsement of religion to have a manger scene.

I like this community. It's time this majority was no longer silent. After all this country is all about majority rules.
