IE titlebar problem

Hi there. I'm running WindowBlinds 4.4 and have a minor problem. I don't know exactly what you call it, but most skins place a button on titlebars that minimizes the window to show just the title bar.

My problem is that this works on all windows except Internet Explorer. Well, it minimizes to the titlebar, but then won't restore. Once minimized to titlebar, I can't even expand the window (click and drag) to restore it. I've got to close it and reopen it, then manually resize it. Does that make sense?

This occurs on every skin that I've tried.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That's the Roll Up feature. I don't know why it would be sticking with IE. What happens if you right-click on the titlebar?

Thanks! I knew there had to be a name for it.

Well, if the window is normal size and I right-click, I get the usual menu with minimize, maximize, etc. If I click the Roll Up button, then right-click the titlebar, I get nothing. If I click the Roll Up *again,* I get the standard menu and can then maximize, resize, etc.

Open the WB Config dialog > User Overrides > Advanced Settings button.......... under the Right click Action setting, set it to Rollup/Down Window. > OK > Apply changes. See if right clicking will unroll IE now.

You may need to uninstall, and reinstall WB. Sounds like something is wonky. If you want to try this.................. Uninstall, reboot, reinstall, and reboot again.

Maybe you have installed a internet explorer toolbar/search that is conflicting with windowblinds. This would explain why you only have the problem with internet explorer.

I run into the same problem all the time.. If you right click on the very bottom bar of the window frame. THE BOTTOM BAR...then the roll up button will work. I have never found out why it sticks but the fix should work fine. Uninstalling wont help. Its a IE thing.

That was it. I'm running PopUpCop, and when i disable its toolbar from being displayed, I can use the Roll Up feature just fine.

I guess there's no workaround for this sort of thing, so I'll just have to deal, but it's good to have it figured out.

Chas was on the money.....that issue is almost always from a third party bar/plugin interfering with WB....

Yup, come to think of it, ever since I got rid of the google toolbar the problem went away. I didnt even notice until chas mentioned it . Thanks dude!
