Bad Time for a break

Stoke manager Tony Pulis yesterday claimed that the time for a break from the football league had come at the worst possible time for the Potters. The claim comes after Stoke's vein of rich form, which has seen them score 19 points out of a possible 21, the best run of form in Nationwide League Division 1 at the current moment.
Stoke were scheduled to play Birmingham City in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday of this week, but instead Birmingham will play Wimbledon, after the Don's succeeded in dispatching the Potters out of the competition just over a week ago.
Meanwhile, Pulis has also commented on midfielder John Eustace's performances, as being influential in the current upsurge in results. Pulis refused to comment on news stories circulating in the local press regarding Potters fans pushing for a play-off position, by simply saying "After a good start, people were talking about promotion. Then they were talking about relegation. Now they are talking about play offs. It's too early..."
Stoke are next scheduled to play Walsall at the Britannia Stadium, in just over a weeks time.
