Is it still compatible with latest Windows 11, does not seem to be?

very sad

Is WindowBlinds now DEAD for Windows 11? With it installed, is impossible to open explorer. And if you tryi to put in a theme, it just freeze sup and does nothing. Very sad to now miss what was such a marvelous item. Latest Microsoft has apparently pulled the rug out from under Stardock with this product.

Quoting Continental,

Latest Microsoft

End of Continental's quote

If by "latest" you mean a pre-release alpha/beta then no version of Windowblinds has ever been compliant with early releases for which it has not been designed.

Since Windows 10, Microsoft has been using the general population as alpha testers and subjecting the unwary to flawed releases, a methodology that is reprehensible at best.

Sorry you're having a problem. You'll be happy to learn Windowblinds isn't dead on the regular, released not "insider" version of W11, as Jafo noted above. .

basj, the Community Support person, or any support person seeing the thread will need your specs.

Please supply Windows version and build by running winver. Also please supply WB version.

Did you dl it from your account or from a SD site? Also, if you have antiviral ESET installed, or another antivrus or "disc optimizer" installed. Thanks.

Are you sure you have the latest version of WB11 installed?

This is typically a case of not being on the 11.07 update.

26H2 just came out.

Any known issues with that?

I haven't seen any yet...I'm more concerned with WinUI3.

My ChatGPT says:

"Current compatibility picture — October 1, 2026
Software
26H2 status
What I'd watch
WindowBlinds 11
Generally compatible
Some Windows UI elements may remain unskinned
SkinStudio 11
Compatible
Mainly a skin-authoring tool; issues depend on WindowBlinds/the skin
Fences
Generally compatible
No specific 26H2 problem found
Rainmeter
Generally compatible
Individual skins/plugins can have their own issues
StartAllBack
Higher risk
It modifies core Windows shell components
ExplorerPatcher
Highest risk
Windows build changes can break taskbar/Start/Explorer modifications
Windhawk
Mod-dependent
Individual mods can break when Microsoft changes Explorer/taskbar internals
WindowBlinds — probably the least concerning
Stardock still explicitly lists WindowBlinds 11 as supporting Windows 10/11, and its current product description includes Explorer, taskbar, window frames, fonts, etc."
