Cannot have separate colours for the background from the tab

So far, Fences 6 has shown some real promise. One problem, though, is that even though you can colour code the tabs, the backgrounds take on the same colour, (i.e if you have a tab that is red, the background is red, the green tab is also background green, etc, and the entire surround of the tabs take on the colour of the last pressed tab).

What would be nice/is there a way to make the background colour of the fence edge/fly out of the content of the tab to be separate or universal for all tabs.

I, for one, don't want my fence group always changing colour according to the last tab I accessed.

Hi from dev team. Good call! I think finding a way to nestle this in in a place anyone might find it is a main challenge. The more options are added the more it tends to just overflow, as well as naming it clearly and providing options to change, but, sound concept. Initial thoughts are it could go in Tabs config tab nearby existing color option, but tricky thing to communicate and offer to color config.

How about calling it fence background or group background for the universal color to distiguish it from the tab background, or rename tab background tab colour and offer the option of it to affect the entire tab when open or just the tab label? Or even extend that and make two categories in the Tabs config option, one for the label colour and one for the background, with a check button (on/off) for background colour to affect all in fence group or not.
